Kingkraft was established as a limited company in 1984 and produced a bath which allowed the user easy access through the folding side panel.
This was the very first Easibath and derivations of the original product are still manufactured today. The strength of the Easibath lies in its ability to act as a bath and a changing platform and showering bench all in one variable height unit. This saves time, space and money as only one unit needs to be purchased instead of needing separate changing facilities.
The company is owned and managed by Nigel Harrison, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield University, and his wife Ruth, a Paediatric Physiotherapist.
From the early beginnings, Kingkraft has grown to be a significant employer in the Sheffield area with two factories manufacturing and stocking the company’s products.
The company has focused on providing a full range of products for the bathrooms of less able people. This gives the customer the advantage of dealing with one company for the design and manufacture/supply of the essential equipment. This means only one installation charge is payable and co-ordination problems between numerous suppliers are diminished.
The company is committed to remaining at the forefront of bathing technology through its product development programme. The latest product to be released is the Multibath-Lite. This is a specially adapted form of the successful Multibath which is designed to use less water and thus to be environmentally friendly. Less water means that fill time is reduced so in situations where time is of the essence, this feature is an added benefit. Of course for those people still wanting the long traditional, relaxing deep soak, the standard Multibath is available.
Soon to be released is the Lifestyle range of baths. These feature beautiful designs to compliment the most modern bathrooms. Access for less mobile yet independent persons is through the side of the bath. The raising side is controlled by conveniently located push buttons. Watch the website for further details soon to be released.
